2. Personal data

We, the Sulzer GmbH, collect, process and use your personal data only with your consent or commissioning or order for the purposes agreed with you or if there is another legal basis in accordance with the DSGVO; this is done in compliance with data protection and civil law provisions.

We only collect personal data that is necessary for the fulfilment and processing of our contractually agreed services or that you have voluntarily provided to us. In the case of corporate customers, personal data in the form of contact details of the contact person in the company are also collected in addition to the customer data.

Personal data is all data that contains individual details about personal or factual circumstances, such as name, address, email address, phone number, date of birth, age, gender, video recordings, photos, voice recordings of people and biometric data such as fingerprints.

If you contact us in writing, by phone, via the form on our website or by e-mail, we will store the data you provide for the purpose of contacting you or processing your request and in the case of follow-up questions.

3. Information and deletion

As a customer or generally as a concerned party, you have the right to receive information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient and the purpose of the data processing as well as a right to correction, data transfer, objection, restriction of processing and blocking or deletion of incorrect or incorrectly processed data at any time.

If there are any changes to your personal data, please inform us accordingly.

You have the right to withdraw your consent to the use of your personal data at any time. Your request for information, deletion, correction, objection and/or data transfer can be sent to the address of Sulzer GmbH stated in point 1 of this notification.

If you believe that the processing of your personal data by us violates the applicable data protection law or your data protection claims have been violated in any other way, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In Austria, the data protection authority is responsible for this.

4. Data security

Your personal data is protected by taking appropriate organisational and technical precautions. These precautions relate in particular to protection against unauthorised, unlawful or accidental access, processing, loss, use and manipulation.

Despite our efforts to maintain an appropriate level of due diligence at all times, it cannot be ruled out that information that you disclose to us via the Internet may be viewed and used by other persons.

Please note that we therefore accept no liability of any kind for the disclosure of information due to errors in data transmission not caused by us and/or unauthorised access by third parties (e.g. hacking attack on email account or phone, interception of faxes).

5. Use of the data

We will not process the data provided to us for purposes other than those covered by the order placed with us or by your consent or otherwise by a provision in accordance with the DSGVO.

6. Transfer of data to third parties

In order to fulfil your order, it may also be necessary to forward your data to third parties (e.g. subcontractors, etc.) or authorities. Your data will only be forwarded on the basis of the DSGVO, in particular to fulfil your order or on the basis of your prior consent.

Some of the recipients of your personal data mentioned above are located outside your country or process your personal data there. The level of data protection in other countries may not be the same as in Austria. However, we only transfer your personal data to countries for which the EU Commission has decided that they have an adequate level of data protection or we take measures to ensure that all recipients have an adequate level of data protection, for example by concluding standard contractual clauses (2010/87/EU and/or 2004/915/EC).

7. Storage of the data

We will not store data for longer than is necessary to fulfil our contractual or legal obligations and to defend against any liability claims.

In order to optimise this website in terms of system performance, user-friendliness and the provision of useful information about our services, the website provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. This includes your internet protocol address (IP address), browser and language setting, operating system, referrer URL, your internet service provider and date/time.

This data is not merged with personal data sources. We reserve the right to check this data subsequently if we become aware of specific indications of unlawful use.
